Dad........do they have wi-fi here?

As of this Saturday we will be the proud owners of a travel trailer.  We intend to haul this bad boy all over Colorado and elsewhere looking for adventure.  We have been camping several times (tent and borrowed pop-up camper) and Kinley loves it so that was a major factor in our decision to go ahead and make this purchase.  That and the fact that a tent doesn't have a toilet or shower and it can be easily shredded by a bear.  Ha!  As the parents of a special needs teenager though we are very similar to typical families in that we are always trying to find ways to get Kinley out of the house and away from her tablet and tv for awhile.  We live in a beautiful state so why not pack up the kid and our dog Maddie and go enjoy it!  Every activity we do as a family always presents a few extra challenges because of Kinley's needs and camping will be no exception.  However we are excited about exploring new places, getting Kinley outdoors for fresh air, playing games, cooking out, and spending time with friends around the campfire.  We have always tried to not let our situation keep us from having fun and this is another activity we can do together and have a great time.  We will be bringing her scooter along also in hopes that she will feel comfortable driving to and from our friends camp sites and feeling a sense of independence.  The dealer we are using, RV America in Aurora, CO, is making a slight modification to the bunk bed area to make it easier to get Kinley in and out of the bottom bunk.  They are doing this at no charge so we feel thankful that they are going the extra mile to make it easier for us while we are out in the wilderness...errrrr... state/national parks. A camping we will go, a camping we will go............
